I‘m so excited to tell you about my latest client! I have met Nadia a couple months ago. She’s a wedding planner in Bangkok, Thailand. She told me that She meets most of her clients by referrals from friends and past clients. So Nadia wish I could help grow her online business in order to attract more clients who want to have a wedding in Thailand. I love her work and her passion for making the couple’s dream comes true.
She wanted me to help her create from the logo to the website. I love to show you my behind-the-scene process of building the website. Let’s go!
Step 1: Logo
After discussion with Nadia, she is a very confident woman, who already knew what she wanted for her brand. She wanted to reflect herself in the logo and wanted to be unique. She is looking for a minimal, not-so feminine logo: no florals or pastel color like most of the wedding planners’.
This is the final logo. I think the design really shows Nadia’s strong and confident personality. Nadia also wishes to use only the initials for the main logo. So, the logo is designed to look like a stamp that seals a letter.
Step 2: Branding Style Board
The followings are the breakdown for each element of Branding Style Board:
Alternative Logo: Contrary to the main logo, the alternative logo is the full name of the brand without the circle stamp. The font is the same as the main logo
Favicon: I used the ‘J’ from June Wedding as a favicon. I used the same font as the main and alternative logo.
Color Palette: Nadia mentioned that she wanted to have a well balance between light color, like pink and maroon, and dark color, like gray and black. So the color palette has both dark and light color.
Fonts & Brand Elements: For Brand Elements like buttons, I designed it to be wider than usual, to look more classic and elegant. The paragraph font is Linux Libertine, which I think is a beautiful serif font that easy to read and go along with the overall brand. For the heading, I use a san serif font, which is Futura.
Step 3: Website Design
For the overall design, I want it to be minimal and simple, just as Nadia wanted.
I am so thrilled with the outcome. The site has beautiful wedding pictures, and it looks very modern, simple and also very romantic. I am so happy to be able to help Nadia, a passionate and strong woman makes her brand’s online presence.
